Mary Pearsall Bio
A highly sought after fitness coach and successful
entrepreneur, Mary Pearsall is the president of renowned fitness
by coaching firm Personal Best. Mary has worked in the areas of
health care and physical fitness for more than thirty years.
Her career started as a licensed practical nurse,
where she worked in nursing homes, hospitals, and other health care
facilities. During the course of her nursing career she has worked
with critical care cancer, dialysis, and heart patients.
Always an avid dancer, Mary discovered that she
had to follow an intentional exercise program to lose the weight
that she gained during her two pregnancies. She became a huge fan
of aerobic dance, and began teaching both high and low impact classes
during her spare time. She received further training and certification
and eventually opened her own aerobic studio.
Mary's desire to work more closely with people
led her to examine the field of personal training. After much research
and study, Mary became a certified personal trainer by The American
Council on Exercise and began training some of her friends and co-workers.
Soon she was in such demand that she had to leave nursing to devote
herself full time to her career as a fitness expert and personal
trainer. In 1999, she expanded her business to include fitness coaching,
which encourages her clients to find the intrinsic motivation that
will keep them exercising for a lifetime.
Mary believes that everyone can live a lifestyle
that will keep them healthy through all the stages of life, and
she has a zeal to inform and motivate people to do so. In addition
to working one-on-one with personal training clients, she has also
delivered lectures and conducted sold-out workshops throughout the
Pike's Peak region. A popular speaker on health and fitness, she
has addressed many groups, including the National Association of
Women Business Owner (NAWBO). She has also written articles for
many local publications such as Fit Magazine and The Senior times.
As a recognized expert in the fitness field, Mary is often asked
for interviews by the local media.
Mary's passion is to use her knowledge and expertise
to educate and encourage people to lead healthier, happier lives.
She continues to study in the field and is up-to-date on all the
latest fads and equipment. She wants people to be healthy, and she
is available to teach, consult and train others in appropriate fitness
techniques.
Mary resides in Colorado Springs with her husband,
Marty, and their two cats, Tigger and Gina, enjoying frequent visits
home from their two grown children, Rebekah and Nathan.
